Elepidote Rhododendron: 'Roseum Elegans' Flower rosy lavender with reddish-brown dorsal spotting, ages to pink, funnel-shaped, 2⅜" across. Ball-shaped truss holds about 20 flowers. Blooms late midseason. Leaves elliptic, olive green. Dense, spreading plant habit. Tolerant of heat or cold. Grows to a height of approximately 6 ft. in 10 years. Plant is cold hardy to -25°F (-32°C). Hybridized by Waterer. |

Lepidote Rhododendron: 'Laurie' Flower white blushed pink with golden spotting and reddish-purple stripes on reverse, openly funnel-shaped, wavy lobes, 1¾" across. Terminal clusters of 28-35 flowers composed of 2-3 inflorescences. Blooms early midseason to midseason. Leaves narrowly elliptic to elliptic, obtuse apex, rounded base, 2¼" long, aromatic, glossy, dark green, retained 2 years. Broad habit with willowy branches. Grows to a height of 2 ft. in 10 yrs. Cold hardy to -20°F (-29°C). Hybridized by Mezitt. |

Evergreen Azalea: 'Mildred Mae' Flower moderate purplish-pink with a dark red blotch, single, 2½" to 3" across, fragrant. Inflorescence 2 flowered. Blooms early midseason. Leaves elliptic, acute apex, cuneate base, 2" long, light green. Spreading, low plant habit. Grows to a typical height of 3 ft. in 10 years. Cold hardy to -5°F (-21°C). Raised to first flower by Gable. |

Deciduous Azalea: R. calendulaceum Flower has shades of orange, scarlet and yellow, funnel shaped. Sometimes slightly scented. Truss has 5-9 flowers. Blooms late midseason to late. Leaves ovate or obovate to elliptic, up to 3½" long, deciduous. Grows as an upright, spreading plant. Reaches a typical height of 5 ft. in 10 years. Insect and disease resistant. Plant and bud hardy to -20°F (-29°C). Species found in the wild growing from Pennsylvania to northern Georgia. |
