Vireya Rhododendron: 'Van Veen Century Gold'

Flower strong orange yellow, unmarked, tubular-campanulate, rounded lobes, 2¼" across.  Semi-dome shaped truss holds 10-12 flowers.  Blooms late spring and again late summer through fall.  Leaves lanceolate, broadly acute apex, cuneate base, down-curved leaf margins, semi-glossy, 4" long, dark yellowish green.  Grows to a typical height of 4 ft. in 10 years.  Hardy to 32°F (0°C).  Hybridized by Sumner.
