Ordering Information for 2018-2025 Seed Purchase
About the Sale:
○ Rhododendron seeds donated from hybridizers and/or collected in the wild
during years 2018 - 2025 are being offered
for sale at an attractive price of 25¢ per seed pack.
○ Both American Rhododendron Society members and non-members may order seed.
○ The seed sale begins August 26 and ends September 30.
○ Orders will be filled in the order they are received.
○ Seed was kept in a freezer inside a plastic case. While germination
is not guaranteed, low-temperature storage of
rhododendron seed is a well proven method to maintain viability.
○ Search the 2018-2025 Seed Exchange Catalog to find seeds to purchase.
To Place Your Order:
○ Go to Order Form Page. The
minimum order is 10 seed packets. List your first and second choice seed lot
numbers in numeric order. If second choice lots are sold out we will substitute other seed lots.
○ Quantity of seed per packet varies, typically 40+ seeds. You may select as many packets of a seed lot as desired.
Indicate multiple packets after
the lot number. i.e., 20-155 (3x)..
○ Orders from ARS member residing within the USA:
Please do not send payment with seed order.
Send payment only after seed is received. Do not send cash.
If
paying by check the check should be made out to: ARS Seed Exchange. You
can also pay via PayPal using a credit
or debit card or
via a personal PayPal account. The exchange will have PayPal email a
payment invoice to you after
your order is shipped. PayPal transaction fees are borne by the ARS. Postage and
handling fee is $4.00.
○ Orders from ARS member residing in Canada:
After receipt of seed, please pay by postal money order in U.S. funds or pay via
PayPal. Postage and handling fee is
$5.00 USD for Canadian orders.
○ Orders from ARS members residing in the European Union (EU):
All seed lots can be ordered. A phytosanitary certificate must be purchased at a
$31 USD cost. Postage and handling fee
is $5.00 USD. Please pay via PayPal.
The exchange will have PayPal email a payment invoice to you.
○ ARS members residing in New Zealand and Norway:
All seed lots can be ordered. A phytosanitary certificate is NOT required.
Postage and handling fee is $5.00 USD. Please
pay
via PayPal. The exchange will have PayPal email a payment invoice to you.
○ ARS members residing in other foreign countries:
Any seed lot can be purchased. Phytosanitary Certificate is $31 USD.
Postage and handling fee is $5.00 USD. Please
pay via PayPal. An invoice for payment
will be emailed to you from PayPal.
○ Seed exchange orders placed by Non-ARS members:
○ Orders are welcomed from non-ARS members. Purchase of an individual phytosanitary
inspection certificate for $31 USD
is required for orders from countries outside North America, except for New Zealand and Norway.
○ Upon notification of the amount due, payment is due in full to the seed
exchange. Your order will be shipped when your
payment is received. Select postage and handling fee on the order form
appropriate for your country of residence.
Seed Order Pricing:
○ Seed is $0.25 USD per packet.
○ Phytosanitary inspection certificates cost $31 USD.
○ Postage and handling fee:
○ U.S. orders: $4.00
○ Canadian orders: $5.00 USD
○ Non- North American orders: $5.00 USD for up to 20 packets. Orders over 20 packets will incur additional postage.
○ For payments transacted via PayPal, at the PayPal website you have the option of paying by credit card, debit card,
e-check, or personal PayPal account. One does not need to signup for a PayPal account to pay via the PayPal website.
You will receive an invoice from the seed exchange listing your seed order details and the amount of payment due.
When
your order is shipped, PayPal will email you an invoice requesting payment. The PayPal bill
is due within 30 days.
