Vireya Rhododendron: 'Cape Cod Cranberry' Flower strong red, narrowly tubular funnel-shaped, 2¼" across, very fragrant. Flat-shaped truss holds 5 to 8 flowers. Blooms continuously, with 3-4 trusses in flower at any time. Leaves variable in shape, orbicular to obovate/elliptic, dark yellowish green, 3" to 5" long. Spreading plant habit. Grows to a typical height of 2½ ft. in 15 years. A tender plant, hardy to 32°F (0°C). Hybridized by Domoto. |
