R. 'Jericho'

Lepidote Rhododendron: 'Jericho'

Light yellow green in bud the flower opens pale yellow green with pale yellow spots on the dorsal lobe.  Six flowers per truss.  Very floriferous.  Blooms midseason.  Leaves are small and oval-shaped.  Plant can be sprawling, grows wider than tall.  Typical height: 3 ft. in 10 years.  Plant is cold hardy to -15°F (-26°C).  Prefers some shade for best performance.  Hybridized by Leach.

 
R. 'Carrie Amanda'

Evergreen Azalea: 'Carrie Amanda'

Flower strong purplish pink edges with white throat and dark rose spotting on dorsal lobe, openly funnel-shaped, wavy edges, 2½" across.  Blooms early midseason.  Leaves broadly elliptic to narrowly obovate, mucronate apex, cuneate base, 1¾" long, dull, dark green, upper and lower surfaces hairy, retained 2 years.  Broad, rounded, well-branched habit.  Grows to a typical height of 2 ft. in 10 years.  Cold hardy to -15°F (-26°C).  Hybridized by Schroeder.

 
R. 'Red Pepper'

Deciduous Azalea: 'Red Pepper'

Flower strong red in bud, opening brilliant orange yellow, flushed with vivid red and with a vivid orange yellow blotch, tubular funnel-shaped, wavy edged, 2" across, lightly scented.  Ball-shaped truss holds 20-23 flowers.  Blooms early midseason.  Leaves elliptic, acute apex, cuneate base, 1¾" long, strong yellow green above and discrete hairs below.  Grows to about 6 ft. tall in 10 years.  Cold hardy to 10°F (-12°C).  Heat tolerant in zone 9A.  Hybridized by Aromi.
