R. 'Very Berry'

Elepidote Rhododendron: 'Very Berry'

Flower vivid purplish red with darker blotch, very large size, funnel-shaped.  Held in conical-shaped truss.  Blooms midseason to late midseason.  Leaves up to 10" long, colored fir green.  Spreading growth habit.  Grows to a height of approximately 6 ft. in 10 years.  Plant is cold hardy to -10°F (-23°C).  Hybridized by Greer.

 
R. 'Landmark'

Lepidote Rhododendron: 'Landmark'

Flower strong purplish red with faint scarlet spotting, openly funnel-shaped, wavy edges, ¾" across.  Held in dome-shaped truss with 25 flowers.  Blooms midseason.  Leaves elliptic, broadly acute apex, rounded base, down-curved edges, about 2" long, semi-glossy, dark green.  Upright, open habit.  Grows to height of about 4 ft. in 10 years.  Cold hardy to -15°F (-26°C).  Hybridized by Mezitt.

 
R. 'Holly Springs Astronaut'

Evergreen Azalea: 'Holly Springs Astronaut'

Flower single, of very heavy substance, 4 - 5" across.  Color variable: white with light green blush and light pink wash, and a few pink to rosy-red lines, dashes and sectors.  Blooms late.  Leaves elliptic, mid green.  Typical plant height in 10 years is 3 feet.  Plant and bud hardy to -5°F (-21°C).  Hybridized by Vines.

 
R. 'Spring Sensation'

Deciduous Azalea: 'Spring Sensation'

Flower soft pink, striped darker pink in center of lobes, funnel-shaped, 3 - 4" across, spicy-sweet fragrance.  Held in ball-shaped trusses.  Blooms midseason.  Leaves mid green.  Plant tolerates heat and humidity.  Shrub grows to 6 ft. or more in 10 years.  Cold hardy to 0°F (-18°C).  Hybridized by Aromi.
