R. 'Solidarity'

Elepidote Rhododendron: 'Solidarity'

Flower has purplish red margins shading to light purplish pink in throat with purplish red spots on dorsal lobe, openly funnel-shaped, wavy edges, 3" across.  Held in dome-shaped trusses of 12-13 flowers.  Blooms midseason.  Leaves, elliptic, flat, 5" long, leathery, dull green with sparse light tan indumentum, leaves retained 3 to 4 years.  Plant dense and well-shaped.  Grows to a typical height of about 5 ft. in 10 years.  Cold hardy to -15°F (-26°C).  Hybridized by Schannen.

 
R. 'Mary Fleming'

Lepidote Rhododendron: 'Mary Fleming'

Flower cream flushed strong to light purplish pink, darker blotch in throat, campanulate-shaped, wavy edged, about 1" across.  Buds hold 2 or 3 flowers.  Blooms early midseason.  Leaves approximately 2" long, dull, dark green.  Leaves are bronze when new and in the winter.  Plant is sun and heat tolerant.  Typical height: 2 ft. in 10 years.  Plant is hardy to -15°F (-26°C).  Prefers some shade for best performance.  Hybridized by Nearing.

 
R. 'Mary Ann Egan'

Evergreen Azalea: 'Mary Ann Egan'

Flower greenish white edged moderate reddish orange, with inconspicuous central marking of strong purplish red dots, broadly funnel-shaped, 3⅛" across.  Truss has 2 flowers.  Blooms early midseason.  Leaves elliptic, broadly acute apex, cuneate to rounded base, slightly uncurved edges, about 1½" long, semi-glossy, moderate olive green, retained 2 years.  Dense plant habit.  Grows to a height of 3 ft. in 10 years.  Hardy to -5°F (-21° C).  Heat tolerant.  Hybridized by Harris.

 
R. 'My Mary'

Deciduous Azalea: 'My Mary'

Flower brilliant yellow with orange tube, no markings, tubular funnel-shaped, wavy lobes, 2½" across, fragrant.  Conical trusses hold up to 25 flowers.  Blooms early midseason.  Leaves near narrowly obovate to elliptic, mucronate apex, cuneate base, 1¼" long, deciduous.  Attractive, compact habit.  Grows to 5 ft. in 10 years.  Insect and disease resistant.  Plant is hardy to -10°F (-23°C).  Hybridized by Beasley.
